Blog for the day:

That's better, back on track. No idea why yesterday was so crazy hard, although I'm back on the magic beans again which might have helped. Even got the most elevation! Can't really remember much about today tbh. Whole day was misty and not too warm. Went through some more towns from previous TdF and this years one also. Really wanted to look inside one of the churches as the painted ceilings, but was bursting for a p. Saw the Fabio Casartelli monument and the corner where Philippe Gilbert went over the wall. Sketchy decent at the best of times, but was slippery with the damp mist.

Luchon Superbagnères Was hard and long, but maybe with the mist, it hid the top so I couldn't tell how far away it was. Thinking of skipping it, but glad I went up. Bloody freezing decent even with 4coats on. End town of Bagnères-de-Luchon is ok, pretty large. It's also where Chris Froome and Julian Alaphilippe have both won stages. Thats all I can remember!

Notes. Might have seen two red Ferrari coming down the hill, but it might have been a hallucination. Lots of red kites about and other very large birds high up. lots of gliders up high, thought it would be too windy and wet
