Blog for the day (Sunday, 29 July 2012):
Lovely location we stayed at, good nights sleep too, even if both mattresses have a leak. Two weeks left though. Last to leave camp but a easy ride into the first town. It was pretty cold though, especially in the shadows. More of the same scenery we had for the whole of yesterday. I caught up the girls and we had another breakfast at the town, while the locals had a road-run and were preparing for a street parade. We had to leave before it started as time was going on. Along the road I saw them all getting ready, looked like it would have been nice.

The scenery got better and better then the hill came along. I actually rather enjoyed it, fantastic views everywhere. I plodded up at a nice speed, shame no one there to race lol. The scenery at the top of the hill was great, I thought I was in Devon! It looked so similar, like the road to Bantham, kept expecting to see the sea in the distance. The town was nice, I got some water at the service station and some more credit for the phone, and headed out again. For the last part of the ride, there was meant to be two routes to take, a nice and a not so nice. The nice was meant to be tricky to find, I would say near-on impossible lol. I took the new main road down the hill, amazing views but the road was fast and I had to keep breaking, the side winds were pretty dangerous too, they kept pushing me out into the road. When I got to camp everyone said how amazing the other route was, oh well. If Cavendish can't win a Gold medal at the Olympics then I can't have the nice road lol
