Blog for the day:
Hard hot day in the saddle. Coming out of a rest day with the increase in temperature the further south we go. Lumpy day with lots of Sunday carboot sales in the villages, with another TdF town I saw on tv and put on my list, marked off.

Some of the others went away from the group and made a new lunch stop another 20miles further of the road. Not good when the people at the back had been working towards lunch at 35 miles.

The route keeps getting prettier with old chateaus, viaducts, lovely little towns, and weird stuff about. The campsite is ok, it has a pool which is great on a hot day like it is now. Not sure why showers are 50cents each though! Sad not to have mark cycle with us now, makes puncture roulette less fun.

Went past the top secret nuclear base with its multiple layers of barb wire. Bike is grinding and crunching its way through France, it's going to need a good service when home. Need a siesta now.

Such fantastic landscape, can't describe how pretty, some amazing roads too, nice hairpin switchbacks. Road surface mostly good, even where the tar just ends by the side of the road.
