Blog for the day:
Champagne finish stage, breakaway won again, Alaphilippe style. Great day, fantastic scenery. The architecture has changed and is much more pretty, the towns and villages looks great. Some of the old buildings still have cattle below and the family live above.

Lovely rolling hills, a bit like the ones on the TransAm. The song birds are singing their hearts out, not sure what they are, but wow. I had planned for all of us to grab a glass of champers at the top, but the cafe closes at 16.00! Grrrrr.

The funniest thing was my dreaded track pump, which worked perfectly for me, but for some reason, everyone else had a problem with. Anyway, mark left the back door of the van open, whereupon it fell out and promptly run over by several trucks. R.I.P. track pump.

Weather been great, sunny and cloudy, great cycling weather. Thunder & lightning kinda starting now. What a trip!
